complicated yet simple.

Another year has come and gone. So much has happened and so much has changed, but what’s a year with just constant day-to-day business? Where’s the excitement in that?
This has been quite a year and I’ve got to say, it has been pretty good to me. Yeah, I still had my fair share of obstacles this year, but I got through them. I started a new chapter in my life and with this came a year of new experiences, new risks, new opportunities. I think I mostly have the people I became close with this year to thank for that. They opened me up to the many different things out there. It has been said that “your college friends know who you are, but your high school friends know why”. This year was tough, acceptance/rejection letters coming from colleges, trying to stay focused for the last semester of high school, starting college, getting through the first quarter of the next four years. There was so much change to be expected, but yet we didn’t know how to even begin to prepare for it. High school was somewhat fun, but college is just a whole other story. I’ve been challenged with so much, not just with school work. You never expect it, but life just hits you in a sort of funny way. Thank you everyone who’s been there for me from the beginning. We’re going our separate ways, but I know that our paths will continually cross. We’ll have new stories of our new lives to tell, but nothing between us shall change. Dear new friends, I’m excited to learn all the new things in life you will teach. Things get tough, but remember to keep you’re head up. Don’t ever lose sight of where you want to end up because things can change in a blink of an eye, no matter how hard you try to slow it down. Take every moment in and never forget the smiles, the laughters, but also the tears, the heartaches. We’re just that much closer to the rest of our lives so make sure to make them count.
This post was a bit late, but I got around to it. 2011 was crazy, but 2012 has so much in store. Take in all the opportunities you get, and take as many chances because you never know just how happy you might become. 2012, I’m ready. It may be 18 days late, but I’m finally ready for whatever you have to offer.
